Sinful ((Egg + 31 ))

"They could've at least armed me." Ian growled, tense with all of his knowledge pouring out. He'd know if someone came within 100 feet of them.

Hiding in the bushes, was Dean Cooper. A deadly assassin who'd never favored Ian. He his up a tree, looking down at Brandy, a knife grasped between his teeth. When they passed, he slid down the huge oak and began trailing them silently.

Brandy nodded, placing each foot step as lightly as a feather. She looked at the canopy of leaves. "We should hide in a tree.." She suggested.

"Right..wait here a moment.." Ian said, before stepping into the black shadows. In seconds he dragged Dean out of the shadows, the knife tucked away in his pocket. He pushed the younger to the ground, and held him down with his foot.
"Brandy look away." He instructed as he dropped the knife into the back of Cooper's neck.

Brandy obediently averted her eyes to a different direction, wincing when Cooper yelped then fell silent. She shivered, 1 down, 29 to go. The mid-summer's breeze was picking up, causing her lips to get dry. She licked her lips then looked at Ian with soft eyes.

"Come on." She said, walking up to s tree and beginning to scale it.

Ian pulled the bloody knife out of Cooper's neck, an pocketed it.
"Be careful." He warned, watching Brandy climb the large tree.

"Always am," She muttered, finally swinging onto a low branch and shooting herself upwards. Her hands delicately wrapped around the next branch as she shot up.

Ian looked upwards, and sighed, turning and launching the knife at another fellow assassin, John Marzo, and it landed square in his forehead. He walked over and unhooked it from the man's skull and took his gun, before pocketing both and following Brandy up the tree.

Once up high enough, Brandy nestled herself on a branch and looked down, the arena was huge, at least 30 miles. She scanned the area, a lake, maybe 10 miles away, revealed smoke. Her best guess as that the majority of the assassins were there. Brandy frowned, looking for any nearby streams that connected to the river, but there were none. And sooner or later they'd need water...She's finally spotted the trap the other assassins were planning. They would scare Brandy an Ian towards the small lake, and if that didn't work, thirst would drive them into an ambush.


"Ian, look." She said, pointing to the small campfire at the base of the shimmering blue lake, "They're all there. What are we going to do?" She asked softly.

Ian climbed up besde Brandy and sighed.
"I'll take most of them out." Be said, knowing half of them were rookies, but some would take time.
"I just..need more amo."

Brandy sucked in her lips, "We should stay away though, just until we absolutely need water." She said, looking down to see a deer grazing by the tree.

Ian nodded, his eyes shifting to the deer. Silently, he pulled the gun out of his pocket and shot the thing in the head, before jumping down to retrieve it.

The deer was a trap. And once Ian was down on the ground, a knife connected with his shoulder. Brandy yelped, and looked around wildly for the man who threw it. On instinct, she hopped down too, only to become smothered in hands. She felt the warm flesh covering her mouth, and a cold blade pressed to her throat.

Ian ripping the knife out of his shoulder without hesitation, and jerked around to look at Brandy, before huffing irritablly.
"Really? Honestly Brandy why did you get out of the damn tree?" He demanded, more or less concerned about the man who had the blade pressed against her throat.

Brandy bit into the man's hand, giving her room to speak, "Sorry, instinct." She apologized, knowing Ian would take care of the man, who seemed nervous.

Ian would've killed her already, but this guy was new. He'd only heard rumours about Ian's deadly skills, but he wouldn't live to see them again. Ian took a slow step forward before jolting quickly and grabbing the knife and twisting it around into the guys hand. The guy howled in pain, making Ian yank Brandy away from him, and kick him in the knee, and kneeing him in the stomach, before stabbing him in the back of the head.

Brandy found herself smiling at the man's death. She snickered a little then looked at Ian with apologetic eyes.

"I wanted to help, too." She explained further, hoping Ian wasn't mad at her.

Ian sighed, kicking the body into the bushes.
"Yeah I understand." He said, wiping the blood off kn his pants, before kneeling down and pulling the deer's head clean off, and chucking it into the bushes as well.

"I'll start a fire to cook this guy." She said, patting the deer's body and picking up a few sticks.

Ian frowned slightly, but nodded.
"Be careful." He warned.

Once the fire started up, she started hacking off chunks of meet from the deer and roasting it. She'd become strong, in both emotions and body.

Ian leaned quietly against the tree, letting Brandy eat while he watched everything around them. He would eat a piece of the meat every now and then, but normally he just sat and watched.

The dinner melted away, filling Brandy's stomach and causing her to feel sluggish. She looked at
Ian cautiously and sighed, her throat already feeling dry.

"Ian. we'll have to go to the lake sooner or later." She said softly, feeling herself grow more and more frustrated with the ambush the others were planning.

Ian frowned and sighed.
"I guess you're right..They don't want me dead though. So i could go and get some water and get out with a few of them dead easily." He said with a determined look.

"But then that leaves me defenseless, and wouldn't they want you dead? With you gone I'm an easy target." Brandy said sadly.

Ian huffed, hating how this was so complicated.
"Okay. You'll come with me, but stay hidden."
